Urgent Appeal for Mobile Phones
Having to stay at home under the current circumstances can be a lonely and solitary time for many, However, it is made even harder for some of our service users who do not have access to a mobile phone. For many of us at this time, our phones and other devices are our only access to the outside world, but this is a luxury that many of the women and children we work with do not have.
We are putting out an urgent appeal for mobile phones and top-up cards which will help keep the women and children we work with stay connected to their loved ones. We rarely ask for donations of high-cost items but we believe that having access to a mobile phone is vital for the welfare and wellbeing of the women we work with. We are not asking for top of the range models, however, we know that people often have spare phones gathering dust in draws and we’d love to put them to good use.
We know that due to current circumstances it will be harder for you to donate items, but we have several ways that you can do so.
What we need:
- New or used mobile phones that are in good working order
- Preloaded top up cards or vouchers
Drop off
If you are passing our office at 28 Bond Street as part of your essential travel you can post items through our letterbox. Please make sure you wrap the items to ensure they do get damaged.
(PLEASE NOTE: We cannot guarantee that someone will be at our office. All items taken to the office will need to fit through the letterbox.)
