Swansea Women’s Aid Receives The National Lottery Community Fund
We are delighted to inform you that Swansea Women’s Aid has been awarded a grant from The National Lottery Community Fund. This award will make an incredible difference to our work and those that rely upon it within our community.
In a difficult year, the UK has seen an increase in incidents of domestic abuse. We feel it is more vital than ever that we are able to offer our services and support to women and children. The generous award we have received from The National Lottery Community Fund will enable us to extend our DAISE Plus Project which supports women aged 16+ who have experienced or are expiring domestic abuse. The award will also allow us to extend our Children and Young People’s Service which supports children and young people who have experienced domestic abuse through their own relationships or the relationships of others.
We know that many charities and community organisations across Wales are facing increasing challenges as a result of COVID-19. Therefore, we are so grateful of this award from The National Lottery Community Fund, made possible thanks to money raised National Lottery players.
