Swansea Women’s Aid would like to thank Nationwide Swansea for inviting us to give an overview of the work that we do with women and children in Swansea, the team were so welcoming and were very interested in learning about the work that was being carried out. “At Nationwide, supporting people and communities is at the heart of what we do. We’re extremely passionate about our wider community and want to be able to do all we can to branch out and help, even in small ways, to make a positive impact where possible.From what we’ve discussed this morning Swansea Women’s Aid is truly incredible. The work being done to support some of the most vulnerable people in our local community is outstanding. Whether it’s through immediate relief, help and advice, signposting to appropriate services, care and wellbeing sessions for women and families, fundraising events.I’m hopeful that with some of the wonderful projects you have on the horizon we’ll be able to support further with Grant Funding in the new year. Until then the team are really looking forward to be able to get involved with fundraising throughout November and December at our branch on Oxford Street in Swansea. The branch will be hosting a raffle with a lovely hamper up for grabs.
